The vertical dotted line represents the point at which the UK entered the single market - it has outperformed pretty consistently against its peer group since it joined ... our view is that this premium is now "suspended" while we navigate a trade deal and may disappear permanently if the UK gets a "Canada" style deal ... in turn, this means that investors will have to think hard about allocations to UK assets ... both in the long and short term...
